Hello everyone! My name is DJ Black HD, and I’m a passionate DJ, multimedia artist, photographer, and content creator based in Newport News, Virginia. I’ve been mixing and scratching tracks for over 20 years, and my love for music and creative expression has only grown stronger with time.

My Musical Journey

I started my journey into the world of DJing more than two decades ago. Back then, I was drawn to the way music could move people, and I knew I wanted to be the one behind the turntables, creating those unforgettable moments. My style has always been versatile because I believe that music has no boundaries. I love blending different genres to create unique sounds that keep people grooving.

My music catalog is vast and diverse. From R&B to rap, from attentive melodies to high-energy beats, I mix it all. Whether it's smooth vibes to set the mood or powerful tracks that make you want to move, I’ve got you covered. I pride myself on my ability to seamlessly transition between genres while keeping the energy consistent and the crowd engaged.

My Equipment and Techniques

I’m dedicated to maintaining the highest quality in my sets. My go-to gear includes my trusted turntables and the powerful VD8 software. Together, they allow me to mix, scratch, and manipulate tracks with precision and creativity. I’ve always believed that good equipment can elevate a performance, but it’s the DJ’s passion and skill that truly make the difference.

My Approach to DJing

Unlike some DJs, I don’t perform at clubs. My focus is on more personal, community-centered events. I enjoy bringing my music to local spots where people appreciate the art of mixing and the energy that live DJing brings. My goal is to find more places around Newport News and beyond where I can share my passion and connect with people who love good music.

Multimedia and Content Creation

Apart from DJing, I am also deeply involved in multimedia production. I’m a photographer and videographer, and I use my skills to create content for my YouTube channel and other platforms. Whether I’m capturing moments behind the scenes or showcasing my DJ sets, I strive to produce high-quality visuals that reflect my artistic vision.
